Dave Harmo In Saint-Hubert

The Summer Concert series put together by the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est Culture continues to bring music to the masses.  This time, we were back at the Paroisse Saint-Hubert, which is rapidly becoming one of my favourite concert locations.  It was Dave Harmo who was tasked with entertaining us, and he did that and more with his wonderful music and personal stories.  With three albums to his name, the most recent being 2021's "L'abri de la tempête", he had a large selection of songs and stories to choose from.  It was also a bit of a learning experience for yours truly. Avid readers will know that The Heir Apparent has been joining me down at the front of the stage while I shoot these shows.  She was particularly in to the music this week as she was sitting on my knee and swaying back and forth to the tunes.  While that is actually a good thing, it did have a bit of a negative impact on my photos.  Shooting at a low shutter speed due to the lack of light, any little movement is enough to sometimes cause some motion blur, and that is what happened here.  There are still lots of photos in this update, but you may notice more super wide of long shots than usual as many of my close-ups were not usable.  It was an unfortunate occurrence, but the memories of seeing The Heir Apparent so happy at these shows means much more to me than a few out of focus shots.  Sorry Mr. Harmo, I hope you understand.  Maybe I'll get the chance to shoot him again one day and redeem myself.  The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/250sec, ISO 1600 at 70mm and the second photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/125sec, ISO 1600 at 70mm.  Here are several more photographs of his performance.

If you would like to find out more about Dave Harmo and his music, you can do so by following the link to his website.  Thanks goes out, as usual, to the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est Culture for all of the work that they put in.  Thanks also goes out to My Lovely Assistant who takes care of The Crown Prince while The Heir Apparent and I are taking photographs and having a good time.  Speaking of good times, head out for some of these free shows while you still can.  It's a great way to pass a Summer evening.
