The latest in the summer series of outdoor concerts put together by the Ville de Longueuil through their Longueuil est Culture program was a show by Geneviève Leclerc. Joined only by her pianist, Nick Burgess, Geneviève enthralled the crowd with her voice and fun stories. She splashed into the public eye back in 2016 as a semi-finalist on the popular television series La Voix. Her most recent album, Les Duo de Gen, which featured her singing some of her favourite songs along with other artist was released back in 2020 and there will probably be something new coming along soon. The whole gang came out to the concert, and once again, and a good portion of the population as well. The little lot behind the local library where these shows are held was packed as this was one of the biggest crowds I had seen there. With her little handmade camera and slick dance moves, The Heir Apparent kind of stole the show. She quickly gets the attention of the artist on stage, which helps Your Friendly Neighbourhood Photographer to get some nice shots. She is also becoming a hit with the crowd as some of these outdoor concert regulars have been coming up to us after the shows to compliment her on her moves. It looks like I'm about to be overshadowed by her very soon. Although, I was treated to a five second pose, the results of which you can see in the first photograph, before The Heir Apparent made her way down to the front with me. The first photograph was taken at f/2.8, 1/100sec, ISO 200 at 42mm and the second photograph was taken at f/16, 1/100sec, ISO 1600 at 35mm. Here are several more photographs that I took of her performance.

Thanks once more to the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est Culture for the wonderful event, and of course, to The Heir Apparent for stealing the show. I'm really enjoying going to these shows with her, and she seems to really be having fun as well.
