Trope At Théâtre Corona

Another night of high voltage rock and roll was on the agenda for your Friendly Neighbourhood Photographer the other night.  I was back at the Théâtre Corona in Montreal for a triple bill of music that began with a local feel.  The first band to hit the stage was Los Angeles alternative rockers Trope, who are fronted by Montrealer Diana Studenberg.  Having formed in 2016, they spent lots of time working on their songs, which ultimately led to the release of their first album, Eleutheromania, in March of last year.  It was evident early in their set, and often afterwards, that Diana was having the time of her life up there on the stage in front of the hometown crowd.  They only played a short set, such is the life of being the third band on a three band bill, but they certainly gave their all and fed off the energy of the crowd.  The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/250sec, ISO 3200 at 24mm.  Here are several more photographs that I took during their performance.

If you'd like to find out more about Trope and their music, you can do so by following the link to their website.  If you'd like to see the photographs that I took of Haken and Symphony X, you can do so by following the links.  It's sometimes a thankless task to open a three band show, but Trope was up for the challenge and gave a strong performance that was sure to leave positive memories to all who were there.
