As promised last time, the tulips opened. Since things have the tendency of slipping through the cracks and ending up lost in the hard drive, it's probably a good idea to share these now. As previously mentioned, My Lovely Assistant received some tulips as an Easter gift. I took some photographs of them before they opened, which you can see by following the link if you missed them the first time. A few days later they finally opened up, so I grabbed the camera and flash once again. Once again, it's all of the curves and colours which really draw in my attention, so I tried to shoot from some different angle to really bring both of those aspects out. All three photographs were taken at f/5.6, 1/160sec, ISO 100 at 70mm with some flash either bounced off of the ceiling or redirected using the on flash car. As with many nice things, the flowers have already lost their petals and only the memory and these photographs remain. It's unfortunate because they are no nice to look at.
