All good things must come to an end, and on Sunday night, the Longueuil Ribfest closed up shop for another year with a performance by The Roots Band and their very special guest, Johnny Zatylny. Growing up in Greenfield Park and playing football on the field that was just to the left of the stage, Johnny Zatylny is considered one of the top Freddie Mercury impersonators out there. His band, Queen Flash have performed all over the planet, helping keep the spirit and songs of one of the greatest singers the world has ever seen alive. There were no fancy costumes on this night, which was a bit of a disappointment, but the voice is what everyone wanted to hear and we got a good dose of Mercury, and other 70s and 80s rock music staples, as Johnny Zatylny and The Roots Band brought the festival to a rocking close. The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/2000sec, ISO 1600 at 70mm. Here are several more photographs of the performance.

You can find out more about Johnny Zatylny and his group, Queen Flash, by following the link to their website. If you'd like to see the photographs that I took of Dwane Dixon, who performed earlier in the evening, you can do so by following the link. Once more, a big thank you to Pennie Berrworth for allowing me to shoot all of the shows and have free reign on the stage. Another big thanks to all of her crew who were so friendly and happy to have me around. It was a great weekend, hopefully I can get another invitation next year.
