Kalan At Longueuil Ribfest

One of the younger performers at the Longueuil Ribfest this year is a veteran of the event.  We first met Kalan last year on the stage where he was introduced as being a young upstart rapper from Toronto.  One year later, he was back up on the stage and you could see the positive evolution in his style and performance.  It was a very sedentary crowd at the event this year, but Kalan was able to get the young members of the audience to their feet as they would rush to the front barrier to sing along and dance the late afternoon away.  I mentioned last year how good it was to see someone so young chasing after their dreams, so I was very happy to see that he has been keeping at it.  The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/1250sec, ISO 400 at 61mm.  Here are a few more photographs of his performance.

If you'd like to find out more about Kalan and his music, you can do so by following the link to his website.  If you'd like to see my photographs of the other Saturday night performances, True North, The Intonations, The Derek Falls Band and Jeff Smallwood & The Roots Band, you can do so by following the respective links.  A big thanks to Pennie Berrworth for the pass to the event and to all of her crew for making everything so easy for me. Keep at it Kalan, bigger stages are beckoning.
