True North At Longueuil Ribfest

It was Ribfest Weekend at Empire Park in the town of Greenfield Park this past weekend, which means that the majority of the population had some rather sticky fingers.  Mine, on the other hand, remained nice and clean as I ended up getting a pass to shoot some of the musical acts over the course of the event.  The first band I got to see was True North.  I only managed to catch a bit of their performance last year, feel free to visit the photos by clicking on the link, so I made sure that I was not going to miss them this time around.  They play a nice collection of Blue Rodeo covers, which are always a hit with the crowd.  The first photograph was taken at f/4, 1/500sec, ISO 400 at 50mm.  Here are a few more photographs of their performance.

To find out more about True North Band, feel free to follow the link to their Facebook page.  If you'd like to see the other photographs that I took on Saturday night of Kalan, The Intonations, The Derek Falls Band and Jeff Smallwood & The Roots Band, you can follow the respective links to see them.  Thank you to Pennie Berrworth for the pass to shoot the shows and the entire crew for making my weekend so east.  If you're a fan of Blue Rodeo, you'll enjoy True North's interpretations of their hits.  Give them a listen if they perform near you.
