Griffen Palmer At MTelus

The big Lasso Montreal pre-party bash continued at the MTelus on Thursday night with our second artist, up and coming star Griffen Palmer.  Up and coming is a bit of a misnomer, as though he may only be taking his first steps as a solo artist, he has been making a name for himself both in Canada and South of the border as a musician and writer for other bands such as Jade Eagleson, Chelsea Cutler, Mackenzie Porter, Keith Urban and Florida Georgia Line.  But enough, about the others, it was Griffen Palmer himself who was up on the stage, and it only took minutes to figure out that not only was a he a good songwriter, but an excellent performer as well.  Writing songs for others must be fulfilling, but doing it for yourself must be even more so, and he certainly seemed happy to be up on the stage performing for the Montreal faithful.  His debut album, Unlearn, was released back in April of this year and you can't help but to believe there are many more to come from him in the future.  The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/800sec, ISO 5000 at 24mm.  Here are several more photographs of his performance.

If you'd like to find out more about Griffen Palmer and his music, you can do so by following the link to his website.  If you'd like to see the photographs that I took of Brittany Kennell and The James Barker Band that same night, you can do so by following the respective links.  A big thank you to Shannon McNevan and Jack Healy of Starseed Entertainment for getting me a pass to shoot the show, as always, it is very much appreciated.  The songs are great and the performance was terrific, it's only a matter of time before Griffen Palmer is as well known as the artists that he once wrote for.  It should be a fun ride to watch.
