Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram At Théâtre Beanfield

We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert photographs up here on The Old Blog.  I suppose we will catch up at some point, but this would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs can be seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13Media, which you can do by following the link.  If you'd like an even more direct route to my photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using the following link.  Have you ever been drawn to a concert?  A show by someone you know very little about, but something keeps drawing you in.  It has happened to me several times, and every time I end up being happy to have followed my intuition.  That streak continued this past Friday night.  Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram was at the Théâtre Beanfield in Montreal and I had the pleasure of shooting the action.  One of the brightest young Blues players, 'Kingfish' Ingram brought his mastery of the guitar to Montreal for the second time this year.  Despite being only 26, he has been coming to Montreal since 2019.  Those visits were part of the legendary Festival International de Jazz.  On this night, he was headlining his own show in our fair city for the first time.  When the time came, 'Kingfish' Ingram hit the stage with a smile bright enough to light up the entire island.  This blues prodigy already has an established fan base in town, and they sold out the building.  His blistering guitar work was immediately put on display during “Midnight Heat”.  “Fresh Out” followed, allowing us to hear that his vocals were just as impressive as his guitar work.  That was followed by “Voodoo Charm”, a track from his new album Hard Road.  Kingfish's third album, it was released just two weeks ago.  By this point of the evening, we were only a few songs in to the show, but the building was simply shaking.  Literally shaking.  I was the only photographer in the pit and took advantage of the situation, getting down on my knees a few times for some different angles.  While down there, I could feel the foundations shake.  Kingfish was a revelation and proof that the blues are in good hands.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photograph that I took of Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram while he performed on the Théâtre Beanfield stage.

To find out more about Chirstone 'Kingfish' Ingram and his music, you can follow the link to his website.  If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Mathais Lattin, who performed earlier in the evening, you can do so by following the link.  Much thanks goes out to Ric Whitney of Curation Management, Evenko and Christopher Gonda of V13 Media for getting me a pass to photograph the show.  As always, it is very much appreciated.  Christone Ingram is a crown jewel of the current Blues scene.  His ‘The Hard Road’ tour continues in to the fall.  Don’t you dare miss it when 'Kingfish' Ingram ends up playing in a town near you.
