We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert photographs up here
on The Old Blog. I suppose we will catch up at some point, but this
would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs can be
seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13Media, which you can do
by following the link. If you'd like an even more direct route to my
photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using the
following link. I Mother
Earth opened an evening of classic 90's Canadian rock and roll over at the MTelus a few days back. The band were here a little more than two years ago, but the fans were more than happy to have their favourites back in town. I Mother Earth got the evening rocking immediately with a nice mix of drums and
percussion instruments with “Pisser”.
The crowd roared along with the beat
until singer Edwin hit the stage to
get the proper party started. And once the party was started, they worked their hardest to make sure that everyone in the building didn't have the chance to let the boogie come to an end, let alone catch their breathes. The majority
of I Mother Earth's set list came from their awesome 1996 album, Scenery And Fish. It was “One More Astronaut” that got the
biggest rise out of the crowd. Track One
of the famous Big Shiny Tunes album from all those years ago. As their
set came to a close, than band brought their portion of the evening to an end
with a great cover of Rare Earth’s “Celebrate”.
One by one, all the members left their spots and made their way to the center of the stage for a big arm
in arm farewell as everyone's voices melded together. It was quite the moment. All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths. Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of I Mother Earth while they performed on the MTelus stage.
If you would like to find out more about I Mother Earth and their music, you can do so by following the link to their Facebook page. If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Matthew Good, who performed later that night, you can do so by following the link. I Mother Earth may have had their heyday in the 90's, but they are just as awesome on the stage today. I can't wait for them to return. Don't you dare miss it when I Mother Earth hits a town near you.
