We're still at the Festin Culturel in Brossard where I was taking photographs of the Bob Walsh tribute that was taking place as the main musical act of the event. The next singer to be featured was Brian Tyler. He is kind of a testament to the saying "you never know what can happen". He hadn't sung a note professionally in his life until an outing with friends to a karaoke bar in his mid-thirties changed his life. What followed was hundreds of thousands of tickets sold, several albums and Lys Blues trophies both for himself and his Brian Tyler and the Bluestorm Band. All of that from a night of karaoke. The first photograph was taken at f/2.8, 1/60sec, ISO 3200 at 70mm. Here are several more photographs that I took of his performance.

What a powerful voice. Despite all of the accolades, I had never heard Brian Tyler before, but I've already searched out more of his music since this performance. One of those photographic musical discoveries I like to make. To find out more about Brian Tyler and his music, don't forget to follow the link to his webpage.
