Héra Ménard In Saint-Hubert

I was a little skeptical when I found out that my next concert would take place on the steps of a Catholic church, but that's part of the fun with photography.  With the Église de Saint-Hubert as a background, I photographed Héra Ménard and her band as they performed for the gathered crowd as part of Longueuil est culture.  After composing her first song at the age of 15, she studied music while in CEGEP before turning to Country music, which she credits to her Grandfather, as it was he who was a very musical presence in her family.  Her first album, self-titled, was released in late 2017 and the next year she won the 'Découverte de l'année' award at the annual Gala Country.  She played several of those songs on the evening, as well as a terrific cover of Bob Dylan's ''Knockin' on Heaven's Door'', before a crowd that appreciated the performance.  The first photograph was taken at f/2.8, 1/160sec, ISO 1600 at 200mm.  Here are several more photographs of her performance.

That church background that I was skeptical about ended up being very I nice.  The music was very good as well.  Not only were her songs terrific, but I hope you can tell from my photographs that Héra has a very joyful personality as she was all smiles during the entire show.  To find out more about Héra Ménard and her music, don't forget to visit her website by following the link.
