Though born in New York and raised in Mississippi, one could argue that Nanette Workman is best known in Québec. When I learned that she would be performing at the Festin Culturel as part of the Bob Walsh tribute, I knew that I had to be there for the show. A member of the Mississippi Musicians Hall Of Fame doesn't come to town every day. Though raised in English, she learned to sing in French at a young age, thus her popularity in not only Québec, but also in France as well. With more than 30 records to her name and and fans all over the World, the word "legend" can easily be applied to this performer. The first photograph was taken at f/2.8, 1/80sec, ISO 3200 at 70mm. Here are several more photographs that I took while she was on the stage.

This was a real treat. I've always wanted to see her perform live. Though this wasn't a full set of her own music, it was a good start. To find out more about Nanette Workman and her music, don't forget to visit her website.
