We've reached the end of our musical Saint-Lambert En Fête journey. The Saturday night headliner of the event this year was Sylvain Cossette. Continuing with the retro theme, he brought his popular 'La tournée 80s' show to town. It features several hit songs from the decade, as well as a few of his own from when he was in the band Paradox. His list of accomplishments is long, 32 #1 Hits, over one million albums sold, numerous Félix & SOCAN awards as well as Juno nominations. Most impressive of all though, is the fact that he managed to get the Saint-Lambert crowd to leave the comfort of their lawn chairs for the biggest 'slow dance' in town history while singing the Chris De Burgh song, 'Lady In Red'. After that, they never really sat back down as the town went rocking into the night. The first photograph was taken at f/2.8, 1/250sec, ISO 3200 at 90mm. Here are several more that I took of the performance.

Whit that, my photographic weekend at Saint-Lambert en Fête comes to an end. A very big thank-you to Jean-Pier Doucet and all of the staff and security at the event. Everything was handled perfectly. Some fun little statistics before we go. I ended up photographing 11 musical groups over the four days, resulting in 163 published photographs. We won't discuss how many didn't get published. Several km's walked up and down Victoria, Elm & Green Avenue going to and from the stages and looking at the boutiques. Four delicious sausage dogs (don't worry, My Lovely Assistant had two of them) from the Boucherie-Charcuterie Saint-Lambert and a slice of pizza from Kapetan Restaurant. If you'd like to see the other photographs, here is the list in the order they appear on the blog. Just click on the links to see the photographs. Jon MacAulay, Benny Adam, Loud, Noémi B Trio, Jerome 50, Coeur de Pirate, Onefortyseven, The Tina Trons, The Preville Big Band and The Luckies. As for this update, if you'd like to find out more about Sylvain Cossette and his music, don't forget to visit his website. Phew! I think I need a vacation.
