While I will never be a fan of the season, I must admit that there is something to be said about a summer evening concert in the park. My Lovely Assistant and I made our way to Greenfield Park once again for another "In The Park" concert, once again put on Longueuil est culture. The band performing for the crowd this week was a young duo known as The Johans. The group was formed back in 2008 and the two young ladies, Cynthia and Émilie, discovered a shared passion for music while in school. An appearance on a television show in 2012 led to their first EP and they've been playing their style of folk and indie rock music ever since. They played several of their original songs as well as a few covers that the crowd on hand really enjoyed, as did I. The first photograph was taken at f/2.8, 1/640sec, ISO 1600 at 200mm. Here are several more that I took of the performance.

A little fun fact, the name of the band came about because mothers of both members are named Johanne. It was a terrific show. I always admire young groups who have found something they are passionate about and then go out and do it. I could have used a little bit of that passion myself in my younger years.
