We've reached the half-way mark of this edition of the L'International des Feux Loto-Quebec as the calendar once again continues to keep rolling. For this edition, the show was being put on by the Grupo Luso Pirotecnica company, representing the country of Portugal. This was their fifth time presenting a show in Montreal and they have twice won the Silver Jupiter Award, in 2002 and 2012. The theme for the evening was 'Stay Tuned' and it featured a soundtrack of popular television theme songs, both classic shows from years gone by and more recent themes as well. For a bit of added local taste, they threw in the theme song from popular children's show Passe-Partout as well. The first two photographs were taken at f/16, 30sec, ISO 100 at 39mm. This really is my favourite spot to photograph these fireworks shows. It has gotten very crowded over the years as more and more people have discovered it. I try and get there before the official summer construction holiday as it gets crazy full of people. On a side note to all of those people, please pick up your trash after the shows. The empty popcorn containers, bags of chips and pop/beer cans didn't get there on their own. Four more shows to go, not sure how many I'll be able to attend, so be sure to go out and see them.
