While Summer may be best known around here for fireworks and my complaining about the heat, it's also a time for outdoor concerts. The first one on my schedule took place this past Wednesday night in Greenfield Park as part of the city of Longueuil's 'In The Park' concert series, which is put on by Longueuil est Culture. On stage was Pascale Picard, a well known figure who began her career as an unknown 18 year-old who played the local bars and gained enough of a following to release an album shortly after that, and most recently a fourth this past October, The Beauty We've Found, from which she played us some songs. She was joined on stage by Marie-Pier Gagné and Marie-Pierre Bellefeuille to give the crowd gathered in the park a very nice concert. The first photograph was taken at f/2.8, 1/320sec, ISO 400 at 200mm. Here are several more that I took during the performance.

It was hot and I was a sweaty mess, but they say that music soothes the sweaty soul. It was certainly a very enjoyable evening. To find out more about Pascale Picard, don't forget to visit her website.
