Our day of photography at the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal was nearing an end as I made my way to Club Soda for another indoor show. The opening act was the duo of René Lussier and Robbie Kuster and they put on a very entertaining, and interesting show. The put on an instrumental exhibition using many every day items to creating original and interesting sounds from their instruments. Saws, toothbrushes, and fans were used by René Lussier on the guitar, while on the drums, Robbie Kuster showed he must serve a mean plate of spaghetti as he played the drums while also swishing a metal chain around the skins. It was definitely something I had never seen before, and I thought it was real entertaining. The first photograph was taken at f/2.8, 1/40sec, ISO 3200 at 24mm. Here are some more photographs that I took of the performance.

I didn't get a chance to move around much during this show as there was no photo pit and I didn't want to lose my spot for the following act, but by shimmying around and kneeling at times, I think I still came up with some nice shots.
